Adam Chu
Coach Chu has 35+ years of experience in baseball. His love for baseball developed in childhood, when he played with the neighborhood kids in Alaska. As he got older, he decided to get serious about baseball and put on a uniform to play middle infield for Chugiak High School in Anchorage. When his family moved to Las Vegas, NV during his teenage years, he made sure his baseball journey continued at Cimarron-Memorial High School in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Coach Chu continued to play baseball for the UNLV Rebels, while he studied Computer Science for his bachelor’s degree. He was invited to try out for the Kansas City Royals, and the Los Angeles Dodgers for free agent contracts. However, life’s twists and turns took him into the traditional workforce. He continued to play in the local mens leagues (MABL, MSBL, NABA). It was in these local leagues Coach Chu discovered his knack for teaching and sharing knowledge.
Coach Chu used his baseball experience to coach locally in Loudoun County, after moving to the area for work. He started coaching JV at Potomac Falls High School, and then moved to coach Varsity at Briar Woods High School. Coach Chu has seven seasons of experience at the high school level, in addition to coaching at the national level for summer travel ball (Baltimore Redbirds). He was also the Director of Scouting for the MidAtlantic All Stars. Baseball is a lifestyle for Coach Chu and he hopes to continue to share his knowledge and experience while working at Replay Sports.
