Coach Bob played high school ball at Arlington High School in Arlington, Massachusetts, where he was a two year varsity starting pitcher. They won the state championship his junior year, then he finished with a 6-0 record on the mound his senior year.

After HS Coach Bob received a full 4-year scholarship to Nasson College in Maine where he was named Team Captain and MVP all 4 years. He was named 1st team All Conference for 4 years and 1st team All Region for 3 years as a pitcher. He was twice named NAIA player of the week, the first time a Nasson player received that honor. He also played first base and right field and twice led the team in RBIs.

He was recruited to play in the Boston Intercity League college league where he compiled a 20-3-1 record over 2 years, leading the league in strikeouts both years. After graduation he received an offer from the Cincinnati Reds for their New England Select Invitational Tryout but unfortunately tore his Rotator Cuff a month before the tryout. After a year of rehab he signed a contract to play for the Amsterdam Pirates in the Netherlands.

Coach Bob currently is the coach of the 13U team and also assists with pitchers on the 16U team with his son Kyle.
