John Murphy
John grew up playing baseball in Loudoun County. He was part of the first State Championship team for Greater Loudoun Babe Ruth in 1976 that sent 8 players on to D1 scholarships. John attended Loudoun County High School, where he still holds the single season batting average mark of .476.
He went on to play Catcher and Centerfield for University of Maryland, Baltimore County from 1976 – 1981 and holds a lifetime batting average of .328.
After graduating, John started giving back to the Community of Loudoun, first as Dulles Little League President, and now as Board member of the Ashburn Athletic Association. He has been actively involved with youth sports for over 25 years, now running an offseason programs encompassing over 400 kids.
Coach Murphy is the current recruiting coordinator and coaches the 11u Replay Rangers travel baseball team.
