Kyle Mehl
Coach Mehl played his high school ball at North Iredell High School in Olin, NC. Kyle was a 3-year Varsity starter with a career .316 batting average while collecting 42 RBI, and was a 2-time All-Conference selection.
After high school Coach Mehl went to Brunswick Community College where he was the Starting Shortstop hitting .367 with 34 RBI’s. He was named to All-Region 1st team, All-Region Defensive team (.978 FLD PCT) while being part of the 2016 Region 10 Champions. That year’s team finished 2-2 at Division II JUCO World Series in Enid, Oklahoma (2016).
He accepted a scholarship to Campbell University where he was the starting 3rd baseman for both years at Campbell with 17 games at Shortstop. He finished his senior year 3rd on team in BA at .287 and had 33 HBP in two seasons. Campbell won the 2018 Big South Regular Season title where Kyle hit .467 in Conference tournament at Liberty University, making the All-Tournament team, to win 2018 Big South Tournament title. He hit .375 in Athens, GA Regional (NCAA Tournament 2018).
